Hey lenders, the worst thing you can do is ...

Jan 29, 2019

Take it from me as a millennial: the worst thing you can do is call someone on the phone. Especially if you’re hunting for a mortgage—you don’t want to talk to some stranger at a bank or lender … until you do. But even chatbots can be annoying when your lender uses them poorly. It’s all about timing, and there are times when you actually need and want to text your bank and to talk to a human. It’s just a matter of when.

Botsplash makes tech that lets lenders talk to you on your terms. Don’t want to get cold calls from loan officers and would rather get text updates on your options? Botsplash does that. Once you’ve gotten your feet wet in the mortgage hunt, you can start to chat up multiple lenders using a tool like LendingTree or Zillow. Botsplash helps you do this without any phone calls.

How these Charlotte companies are driving AI innovation

Jan 17, 2019

Robots, virtual assistants and predictive systems — they all fall under the umbrella of artificial intelligence. Charlotte companies are developing their own version of AI that ensures the human touch is left intact. Artificial intelligence is a machine’s capability to imitate intelligent human behavior.

Botsplash is another young company that burst into the Charlotte startup scene. Now in its second year, Botsplash offers real-time software for enterprises to engage with customers on one platform. Aru Anavekar, a former developer and product manager at LendingTree Inc., took her expertise to help create, with co-founder Ramu Pulipati, a new communication-based product that targets lending officers. Instead of contacting potential customers through multiple mediums, lending officers can use Botsplash to immediately connect with customers and have the system set up appointments.

Aru Anavekar talking about goals for #hyggecares

Jan 14, 2019

“I never used to use goals, until I quit and started full-time on Botsplash,” says Aru Anavekar, CEO and Founder of the startup Botsplash, an online chat platform. “Usually, it’s the company goals, or the vision goals given by your boss or your team. If you want to get paid your bonus, you reach your goals and that’s how it is.”

“If we don’t achieve something, we still learn something while trying to achieve that goal,” she said. “Accomplishment drives. So every time you have accomplished something, you are more encouraged to do something even further on the same thing. So goal-setting, or milestone achieving is so very important.”

The add-on makes it extremely easy to test our application from Slack app, and we maintain a separate channel in Slack where text messages can be sent using the slash command. This enables us to receive and send SMS using Slack. Get a peek at the code base here. Hope this article gave you an idea of the integration process.
